Weddings and should you bother?

Well according to my friends and colleagues the answer is YES.

According to my bank balance the answer is NO

So which is correct? I suppose the only way to find out is to get on with it and do it for yourself.

So with this in mind Wendy and Myself are taking the plunge, surely not I hear you say! I'm afraid so!!

The Big Day in the Big Apple

29th March 2006,

All Souls Church, East 80th St and Lexington

It gets worse! Oh Yes it Does!

When in Rome....we have done the local thing and have a wedding planner, now for those that read this in the UK, it sounds mad but once you think about it, it's a great idea, we still make the decisions, but someone else goes and figures out how to do it. We actually do recommend this and think it should happen here then no need for your parents to get involved (except to hand over the cash if their paying). So if your thinking of getting married in New York or Jersey then get in touch with Tina and her friends at Oh So Fabulous (just don't mention our names as they have probably had enough of our requests by now).

We also have a graphic designer, Robin, who has worked wonders and produced a spectacular invite for us and themed all the other items for the wedding. (see photos)

The wedding was held in the chapel of All Souls church on Lexington Avenue in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We were then whisked away to the reception, passing some of NYC's famous sites. The reception was held in a restaurant called 212 (very slow to load). Our guests and ourselves enjoyed the luxury accommodation of the New York Palace hotel right opposite St Patrick's Cathedral.

Here's the transport for the wedding day, we fristly have a rather large limo to take the guests , as well as a surprise vehicle to take the bride to the wedding. Also Wendy was picked up at the airport by a chauffeur a long term dream of hers. Thanks to Giovanna from Oh So Fab and Airbrook for sorting the car

Now that the day has passed I hear you all asking for pictures so here you are. See the official photographers site Michael Downey , he was excellent, none of the hanging around for hours posing, just captured the day as it happened. If you'd like to order photos from Michael (and your in the UK) then let us know and we'll put in one order and save on postage.
